a new dress...

i decided to save money and make a dress to wear to caleb's graduation ceremony in december and then of course my own the next weekend. i found this pattern last night and it only cost me $1!! thank you hancock fabrics for your wonderful sales!

here is a picture of the front of the pattern:
it is simplicity pattern #3529. i am making the dress on the right. the one in blue and brown. the fabric i chose was black and white for the main part of the dress with a white patterned fabric for the ruffles on the sleeves and front. i also picked up some black buttons. i will put up some pics of the fabric soon. i am going to make the dress after i take my next section of the cpa exam on nov 22nd. it will be a lot of fun after all of that studying!!
