this is one of those stories that i could read a hundred times over and still pick up little clues and details that i had missed the other 99 times. i love those stories...they always feel like something new and yet you also feel like you are learning more about an old friend every time you read them. i feel like ms. french was practically screaming at me who the killer was all along the story but i was never bright enough to pick up on it...i guess our main character wasn't either.
i don't want to talk much about the plot because i would hate to give it away to anyone who wants to read this book. i will say that i would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good psychological, who-done-it read. and if you are that person, go out and get this book now!!
next on my list: the time traveler's wife by audrey niffenegger

How funny... I read In the Woods at the beginning of this year... I liked it, but I sad that they didn't finish the other story in the book about the detective. If you know what I mean... anyway, I have also read the Time Traveler's Wife and it is excellent. A little racy in parts... just a warning, but I loved the book. Anyway... It's Alyson Kilgore, if you were not sure who is randomly commentin on your blog. I found you on Lindsey's blog.
hey alyson! - i actually did know this was you. i read your blog occasionally...not sure if i have commented or not!
i heard tana french say in an interview with npr last summer that she is not finished with rob ryan...so maybe one day we will know. i have the sequel "the likeness" and can't wait to start it but i needed a break from the characters before i began. so maybe after i read a couple of different books i can begin on that. maybe it will be the first of 2010!
